Shipping & Delivery

My order tracking says my order was delivered but I don't have it, what can I do?

For orders shipped via USPS, you will have the best luck tracking down your package by going in person to your delivering post office. They will be able to see the GPS location of the last tracking scan, and help you proceed accordingly. If your order shipped with UPS, you can file a claim on their website.

At checkout, you may opt to purchase package protection. This acts as a shipping and delivery insurance which will replace or refund your order in the case of loss, damage, or theft. This coverage is optional, but starting with orders placed February 8, 2022, only orders with package protection added are eligible for replacement or refund. Claims must be filed within 14 days of the delivery scan or last tracking update. This gives you the best chance of being able to get a replacement.

How do I get Free Shipping?

I do not offer free shipping on any order. It's not free to ship things! I'd rather have my products be more reasonably priced and charge for shipping than build the potential for free shipping into every product cost.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on order weight and your location.

I selected Ground Advantage shipping but my tracking says UPS. What's up with that?

Due to reasons I cannot fathom, occasionally UPS shipping is a few cents cheaper than USPS. If you did not choose to upgrade your shipping at checkout, it will ship via the carrier that is cheapest when the order is processed.

My order shipped but the tracking isn't updating, help!

Sadly, they do not give sellers secret tracking information; we have the same tracking number that you do. I am not in a position to retrieve or locate your package. If you need help tracking down a package, you will have the best luck speaking in person with someone at your delivering post office.

If your order has the status “label created” for over a week but has not been scanned at a post office, please email me with your order number so we can figure out what's up.

You are solely responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. I can change an address before an order ships, but cannot change shipping information after an order is processed. I sometimes process orders almost immediately, so please double check your shipping address! If your package is safely returned to sender, I am happy to re-ship at your expense. Shipping paid on orders returned to sender is nonrefundable.

How long will it take to get my order?

Please read the product information closely— new products are now listed as preorders, with an estimated ship date 2-3 weeks after their initial listing. These dates are stated specifically on the product page. If a product doesn't specify a timeframe, it is in stock and will usually ship within 2-3 days. If you order preorder and RTS items together, your order will not ship until the entire order is ready to ship.

I offer shipping options via USPS (Ground Advantage, Priority), UPS (Ground), and DHL (International). Please note that expedited shipping services affect only the time in transit, not the processing time. If you are on a very tight schedule, please email me in advance to make sure your order will arrive in time.

Do you ship internationally?

Bread & Water ships world-wide with the exceptions of Afghanistan, Belarus, Bhutan, Brunei, Eritrea, French Southern Territories, India, Israel, Laos, Libya, Mongolia, Russia, Samoa, South Africa, South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands, South Sudan, Syria, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, and Yemen. If you live in a country not listed above and you're not able to check out, please email me.

It is expensive to ship to other countries– your shirt is probably crossing an ocean! I cannot make this any cheaper. Please be familiar with your country’s customs tax before ordering, and know that VAT or other customs fees may be due on delivery; I am unable to mark shipments as "gifts". Shipping paid on orders returned to sender is nonrefundable.

I live in Pittsburgh, can I pick my order up?

Because I don't keep regular studio hours, I don't offer local pickup as an option. Local bike delivery is available for some areas of Pittsburgh during most of the year; if your address is eligible, and I am able to offer it, Local Bike Delivery will show up as an option at checkout. It does usually take a few weeks to find a day where my schedule and the weather cooperate, but hey, it is free.

Please do not opt for local delivery if a key or code is required to reach your mailbox— if I cannot easily access your mailbox, you will be invoiced for shipping costs. Also, since this is a courtesy I offer, as a courtesy to me please consider how bike-friendly the route to your house is! Please do not ask me to ride on a highway or climb your Dirty Dozen hill.

Returns & Exchanges

How do I cancel my order?

Please don't cancel your order unless absolutely necessary! This withholds stock availability from other customers. However, I understand that there are emergencies, in which case I can cancel your order before shipment and issue either a full refund in store credit, or a refund to the original payment method less the 5% non-refundable payment processing fees I pay on each transaction.

What is your return policy?

If you receive the wrong item, or if your order has significant misprinting or pre-shipment damage, I will happily make that right! But I do not accept returns for any other reason. This includes the shirt not fitting you— there are product-specific size charts on every listing, please double check your size before ordering.

What is your exchange policy?

When stock allows, I am happy to exchange for the same product in a different size. Exchange availability is not guaranteed, particularly on items sold as pre-orders. Please contact me within 7 days of delivery to initiate an exchange. Buyer is responsible for shipping exchanges both ways.

Items are missing from my order! What's going on?

I'm but one person, who sometimes makes mistakes. Please email me within 7 days of delivery so I can make it right.

I placed an order recently, but now that item is on sale or there is a coupon code— can I get a refund for the difference?

Sorry, I do not offer price adjustments or rain checks. If there is an active coupon that you forgot to use, if you ask nicely I may issue the discount value as store credit.

Are shirts unisex?

Unless otherwise specified or indicated with words like "crop" or "baby tee," all apparel is unisex sizing. You only think it's women's sizing because a woman is wearing it.

What size do I wear?

Dude, I don't know. A size chart specific to the blank style used is now included on all listings, so you can double check your size before ordering. I recommend measuring a shirt that fits you well and using those measurements to determine your size. I made a video to show you how! Unless the garment you receive has very different measurements than those on the size chart, I do not accept size-related returns.

Please note that not all t-shirts are on the same blanks, and while they fit similarly the specs are a little different! So if you're in between sizes and/or very picky, you may want to double check each one.

OK, well, what size are you wearing?

If it's not specified, I am wearing a XS or S t-shirt. My measurements have shifted a bit over the past 9 years (who's haven't) but I'm 5'6", and my bust measurement is ~38" and waist is ~28".

Are these official merch designs?

No, unless otherwise specified all designs are my own work, or original, unauthorized fan art designed by me. I do not make any claims otherwise.

Can I get a design printed on a shirt I provide / my favorite brand of t-shirt / a different color shirt?

No. This is just too complicated to be worth navigating. I use the blanks I do because I think they print the best and fit well, and the color of the shirt is part of the design.

I don't see ________ [item] / ________ is sold out, but I like, really want it.

Everything that is available for purchase is listed on the website. If an item doesn't come up in a search, it is currently unavailable. If a product is sold out but may be restocked, you can sign up on the product page to be notified by email when it returns. (This is also a great way for me to get a sense of demand for a reprint!)

I am occasionally able to reprint retired designs at my custom printing rates.

Why doesn't my shirt look exactly like the one on the website?

While I try to represent each shirt as accurately as possible, most of the product images on the site are digital mockups. This means colors and print dimensions may not exactly match the shirt you receive. Additionally, everything is hand-printed, meaning there may be some very minor variations between each print! Lastly, the design is printed at the same dimensions on all sizes of shirt. This means that a design that looks like a full-length print on a size S (what I'm wearing in product shots) will look smaller on a larger size.

Can I make changes to my order?

You can change size, add items to your order, or update your shipping address before your order ships! You can do so in your customer account dashboard, or by emailing me. Once you receive a shipping notification, your order has been processed and cannot be edited.
